Our students
are encouraged to train compete and be competitive in
completion shows and to build
photography portfolios of their work, as well as
create local fashion shows for fun, advertising their
skills, and media exposure. Richard Mar students train
to be "A Cut Above the Rest".

MARIE PINDER

Well known to the beauty industry as a multi
-award winning stylist and educator,
Marie trained with the industry's best (e.g.
Sassoon Academy, London, and Tony & Guy). A
seasoned professional (over 30 years), Marie
worked as an advanced educator and platform
stylist for both KMS and Clairol Canada, teaching
current skills and techniques at trade shows and
seminars across Canada.
In 1990, Marie became a
Master Judge and trained the BC Provincial Team
for competition. Marie was also a partner in
over 8 successful salons in Manitoba and British
Columbia, training many staff members, and
apprentices. |

Richard is well known in the beauty industry for his artistic achievements, representing many large beauty companies such as KMS and
Clairol Professional across Canada. Richard holds over 14 regional and provincial awards and has had his work published in international industry magazines. Richard is also a Master Gold medalist Judge in BC and has judged many BC competitions. He lead his own Artistic Styling Team throughout Canada and presented many large industry trade shows, working with some of the industry's top stylists. Richard's reflects his mentors (training by
Sassoon Academy, and Tony & Guy) and was co-owner of 8 salons in Manitoba and British Columbia .
As an artist, Richard is unique in his approach to design and color. His ability to think "outside the box" allows students to advance in their creativity leading the way to high artistic development. Richard teaches development with photography, allowing students to capture their work and build portfolios throughout the program. |
